
Oklahoma defensive end Frank Alexander is one of six finalists for the 2011 Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award.
Alexander, a senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, leads the Big 12 Conference in sacks with 8.5 and tackles for loss with 18.
In addition, Alexander has made 51 tackles, forced three fumbles, recovered one and intercepted a pass.
The other finalists for the award are Andre Branch (Clemson), Vinny Curry (Marshall), Whitney Mercilus (Illinois), Sam Montgomery (LSU) and Nick Perry (USC).
The winner of the award will be announced December 7th and will be honored at the Ted Hendricks Award Dinner next spring.
