Oklahoma State's chances for a BCS Championship game showdown with LSU took a hit Sunday afternoon.
The Cowboys, a day after throttling Oklahoma 44-10 in the annual Bedlam rivalry, made up some ground on Alabama in the Coaches Poll, moving from fifth to third, just 32 points behind the Tide, but they didn't move ahead of them.
The Harris poll, which comes out later in the day, should tell us if the Cowboys have a shot. In the last Harris poll, OSU was fifth behind LSU, Alabama, Stanford and Virginia Tech.
Virginia Tech got hammered by Clemson in the ACC title game while Stanford was idle, having wrapped up its regular season a week earlier.
The Harris, the coaches poll and a combination of six computer rankings, make up the BCS rankings.
The final BCS rankings will be announced tonight beginning at 7:15 p.m.
