Credit Card Use Up

Posted: Updated:

Credit cards are making a comeback. At the end of 2008, more consumers were using debit cards than credit cards. But now, that trend has reversed.

Credit card use has risen every quarter this year. And a growing number of holiday shoppers are opting for credit this year. Credit card use on Black Friday jumped 7 percent from last year.

It may be hard for some shoppers to resist. That's because banks have been ramping up solicitations and boosting incentives for credit cards over the past year.
