Wagoner receiver Kevin Peterson is the 2011 Ford Award winner. It was announce Wednesday night at the KTUL studios in Tulsa, OK. It's the second year in-a-row the Ford Award winner has come for Wagoner, OK.
Kevin was the week 7 nominee. In a win over Oologah he touched the ball six times for 231 yards and scored four touchdowns. He did all that in just the first half. That's an average of 38-yards a carry.
For the year he rushed for almost 14-hundred yards and he scored 23 touchdowns.
He calls himself a receiver, but the Bulldogs played him at running back, at wildcat quarterback, receiver and defensive back.
One of his biggest strengths is his vision.
The University of Oklahoma offered him a scholarship last Sunday and he plans to take a visit to Norman this week.
Congratulations to Kevin Peterson, the 2011 Ford Award winner and to all ten nominees for an amazing season.
