A five-star Oklahoma State basketball signee has been named to the pre-season watch list for the Naismith High School Player of the Year.
Marcus Smart is ranked as the number four shooting guard prospect in the country. He's a senior at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas.
Smith (6'5") and point guard teammate Phil Forte (5'11") signed with the Cowboys in November. Smart also had offers from seven other Big 12 schools as well as North Carolina.
The winner of the Naismith Award will be announced March 22nd in Atlanta.
