A man wanted in connection with two Tulsa-area murders this week has taken his own life after being confronted by US Marshals in Texas.
Terencio Turcios was being sought in connection with the killings of his ex-wife Veronica Turcios and another man -- 38-year-old David Grummert.
Veronica Turcios was found suffering from a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon outside an apartment near 63rd and South Peoria. She died later that evening at a Tulsa hospital.
About 20 minutes after the first shooting, police in Glenpool were called to the area of 171st and South Union Avenue, where they found Grummert dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Terencio Turcios was identified as a possible suspect in the case and his pickup truck was found abandoned Wednesday night near McAlester.
The Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force developed several addresses for family members and asked for help from the Houston-area Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
Turcios was later located at a home, but when confronted, Turcios pulled out a gun and killed himself. Officials say it appears the gun Turcios used to kill himself was the same one used in both Tulsa-area homicides.
