Wagoner -
Wagoner's do-everything player and Channel 8's Ford Award winner Kevin Peterson has given his verbal commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners.
Peterson, who helped lead the Bulldogs to their first state championship, rushed for nearly 14-hundred yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior.
In Wagoner's 23-0 defeat of Clinton in the 4A title game, Peterson had 240 yards rushing and two touchdowns, including an 86-yard scamper in the second quarter.
He calls himself a receiver, but Wagoner played him at running back, at wildcat quarterback, receiver and defensive back.
His commitment comes a week after the Sooners offered Peterson a scholarship and just three days after we crowned him the 2011 Ford Award winner.
