Todd Monken Talks About Coaching Searches

In the media world, we love how open OSU Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken has been during his one season in Stillwater.

He isn't afraid to speak his mind about any topic, including the coaching searches conducted by many Universities.

Before Monday's press conference, Monken addressed the rumors that he was a candidate in multiple coaching searches over the past few months.

One of those, at the University of Illinois, was the topic today's "Monken's Musings", where he said he was never even contacted by the University.

"You think I'd know, right?  I said, Ed McMahon's not coming to my door with Publisher's Clearing House saying "Guess What?   You're the next coach here!".  I mean, it doesn't happen that way."
