Former Oklahoma State head football coach Pat Jones is being recognized by the Gator Bowl.

Jones will be inducted into the Gator Bowl Hall of Fame on December 31st during a coaches luncheon and hall of fame ceremony.

Jones' Cowboys made back-to-back Gator Bowl appearances, beating South Carolina 21-14 in 1984 and losing to Florida State 34-23 in the 1985 game.

"This award is a reflection of all the hard work put in by the players and coaches of that era," Jones said.

Jones coached at OSU for eleven seasons, leading the Cowboys to 62 victories, making him the winningest head coach in school history.

Also to be inducted are former Michigan wide receiver Anthony Carter and former Gator Bowl Association head Bill Nimnicht Sr.
