Hospitality House of Tulsa's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat Oven 350°

1 Cup buttered flavored Crisco

3/4 Cup Sugar

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)

2 Eggs

2tsp Vanilla

1tbs Hot Water

Cream all above ingredients until well blended

***Stir in the below ingredients: (do not use the mixer to mix in flour and oats)

1 1/2 Cup Self Rising Flour

1tsp of baking soda

Mix ingredients together

***(If using All Purpose Flour stir 1 teaspoon of salt and 2 & 1/4 tsp baking powder into flour before stirring it into batter)***

Then stir in:

2 Cups Quick Oats

1 Bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips

Put onto baking sheet about 1 inch apart

Bake @ 350 for 11-12 min (Cookies will appear light in color like they're not done but if they are cooked to long they will be tough and crunchy).

Transfer cookies to cooling rack after removing from oven.
