Linebacker Shaun Lewis
Q: On his relationship with Markelle Martin.
A: Markelle (Martin) definitely feeds off of me and I feed off of him. He would love to play linebacker. We feed off of each other.
Q: Is this a statement game for you guys?
A: The first time you do anything, you want to make a statement that you belong here. This is something we want to get acquainted with, playing in BCS bowls at Oklahoma State. This is definitely something that we can get used to in the future.
Q: What does it mean to the program to make the first ever appearance in the BCS?
A: It means a lot to us. We are trying to build a tradition here. This is definitely the first step towards doing that.
Q: Is it extra special since Coach Gundy played at OSU?
A: It's special for everybody. Guys like him, Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders, they paved the way for us to be here today. It's very special to be here and finally get something like this accomplished. But we're not done yet. We have to go out and play Monday and make sure we can build off of this.
Q: Does the BCS bring a different intensity?
A: Oh yeah, it's definitely a different type of intensity. In practices, everybody's honing in, everyone has one goal and right now that's to be a BCS champion. It's definitely a different type of feeling and atmosphere.
Q: Your thoughts on facing Andrew Luck?
A: He's very good, but it's not just him. It's the guards, the tackles, the tight ends, the running back. He definitely has a lot of help on that offense.
