Oklahoma went into Mizzou Arena Tuesday night looking for a statement win. There was a statement made, alright - but it was by the home team. No. 6 Missouri turned an 18 point half-time lead into an absolutely dominating 87-49 blow-out win.
The Tigers' Kim English lead all scorers with 23 points. Marcus Denmon wasn't far behind, netting 20 points. As for the Sooners, two players reached double-figures. Andrew Fitzgerald lead the way with 18 points, while Steven Pledger added 11.
Mizzou's defense held OU to just 33.3% shooting from the field, while the Tigers shot an impressive 59.3%.
Up next, the Sooners have another tough test. Coach Lon Kruger's squad will host #11 Kansas on Saturday. Tip-off from the Lloyd Noble Center is at 1 PM.
