
Trailing by one at halftime, 15th-ranked Kansas responded by out-scoring Oklahoma 29-6 through the first 11 minutes of the second half and won 72-61 Saturday in Norman.
The Sooners (10-4 overall, 0-2 Big 12) trailed 18-13 in the first half before bouncing back to take a 34-33 halftime lead on Romero Osby's late jumper.
Kansas scored the first seven points of the second half and never trailed again, taking their biggest advantage when Elijah Johnson nailed a 3-pointer with 8:39 left to give the Jayhawks a 62-40 edge.
Oklahoma never got closer than 11 the rest of the way.
The Sooners were led by Steven Pledger, who scored 14 points. Andrew Fitzgerald and Carl Blair each added 11 and Osby and Cameron Clark each had nine.
Travis Releford led all scorers with 28 for Kansas (12-3, 2-0).
Oklahoma will look for its first conference win Monday night when they travel to Stillwater for the first Bedlam battle of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
