Four OSU Football Players Enroll Early

Posted: Updated:

Oklahoma State added players to its football roster this week with the early enrollment of two high schoolers and two junior college transfers.

The headliner is Wes Lunt, a pro-style quarterback ranked among the top ten prospects in the country by some publications. Lunt is fresh off leading his Rochester, Illinois high school team to a pair of state championships.

Lunt passed for nearly 75-hundred yards and 65 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

Also enrolling early is high school linebacker Jeremiah Tshimanga from North Richland Hills, Texas, and junior college transfers Calvin Barnett, a former Booker T. Washington standout, and tight end Blake Jackson, who comes in from Scottsdale (AZ) Community College.

"We have added some great people to our football program," said OSU head coach Mike Gundy. "We're excited about what they bring to Oklahoma State on and off the field."

Oklahoma State is coming off one of the best seasons in team history, going 12-and-1, winning the Big 12 Championship and appearing in its first BCS bowl game, a 41-38 victory over Stanford.
