It is Elite 8 time at Tulsa's Channel 8. Every Thursday for the next eight weeks, we will showcase the best high school basketball players in Green Country. One boy and one girl. In week one of 2012, we have a couple of repeat nominees from the 2011 season.
Our week one girls nominee is Holland Hall forward Paris Townsend. The future OU softball player racked up 41-points in the Stroud Tournament last week. The Lady Dutch won the tournament and Paris earned tournament MVP honors.
Our week one boys nominee is Sperry power forward CJ Cole. CJ is also headed to OU next year and last week he put up incredible numbers last week. He poured in 72-points, pulled down 58-rebounds and had 11-blocks.
