One of OU's top recruits has received clearance from the NCAA to play for the Sooners next season.

Trey Metoyer, a five-star wide receiver from Texas, was a member of the 2011 signing class and spent the fall semester at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.

At his high school in Whitehouse, Texas, Metoyer finished with 259 career catches -- the second most by any Texas high schooler -- including 87 for 1,304 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior.

Rivals.com ranked Metoyer as the second best wide receiver prospect in the country.

Also joining the Sooners Friday were fellow 2011 signee Jordan Wade, early enrollee Taylor McNamara, and junior college transfers Kass Everett, Brannon Green and Chaz Nelson.
