Boy Talks To 911 Dispatcher, Saves Mom

Posted: Updated:

A brave 6-year-old boy and 9-1-1 dispatcher work together  to save his mother's life.

Alexis Babbitt called 9-1-1 when a large piece of furniture, an entertainment center,  fell on top of her.

But unfortunately, she passed out just as the dispatcher paged paramedics in Tuttle.

That's when her little boy, Cody, picked up the phone and let dispatchers know exactly what was going on.

Caller: "I don't know what she did because I was upstairs."
Dispatcher: "Oh."
Caller: "I heard her screaming so I ran downstairs and she was on the floor with that thing on top of her."
"I feel her body, but I don't feel her tummy going back and forth."
Dispatcher: "Right."

Cody stayed calm until the crews arrived.

His mother is doing just fine.
