Local Pizza Joint Celebrating 42 Years

A local pizza joint is marking its 42nd year in business.

They want to celebrate their birthday with customers.

The Minuteman Pizza Parlor is now the longest-running business in Sand Springs, 7 West 41st Street. 

The original owners, Ron and Wanda Dobbs, opened for business on this day in 1970.

How'd they outlast the competition through the years?

Quality, cleanliness, and good service.

That's been the tradition since the beginning, which the new owner says continues to this day.

"I started working here when I was 15," says owner Travis Lawley. "Been here since 1988. And I just fell in love with it, you know, just taking care of the customers, trying to serve the best pizza available."

They will be serving cake throughout the weekend as long as it lasts.
