Parts of western and central Oklahoma are under a tornado watch this morning.
The watch is in effect for 22 counties through 10 a.m. Showers and thunderstorms were ongoing Friday morning in western Oklahoma.
Those storms are expected to continue to move into eastern Oklahoma later this morning.
During the afternoon, the threat for an isolated tornado will exist across north-central Oklahoma, but the primary threats from the storms will be from large hail and damaging, straight-line winds.
Some of the storms will also pack heavy rain with rainfall totals in some spots exceeding two inches.
Cooler and drier conditions will enter the picture for the weekend with afternoon highs in the mid 50s and sunny skies through mid next week.
We will continue to monitor the latest on Friday's severe weather threat and will update this story with the latest details from the forecast center.
