OU Can't Stop The Cyclones' Shooters

Posted: Updated:

The Oklahoma Sooners could not solve the Cyclones Saturday night, despite a career-high 27 points from Andrew Fitzgerald and Romero Osby's 17 points.

You can blame Iowa State's shooting - make that Iowa State's record-setting shooting night.

The Cyclones made 15 3-pointers, the most-ever against an Oklahoma team, and Iowa State escaped Norman and the Lloyd Noble Center with a 77-70 win.

Melvin Ejim had 21 points for the Cylcones, and six ISU players made 3-pointers as the Cyclones shot 50 percent from the 3-point line.

That hot shooting was too much to overcome for the Sooners, who still had a shot to win the game late in regulation.

Up next for OU is a Monday night home game against No. 4 Missouri.  Tip-off is set for 6 pm.
