Light Snow Possible In North Central Oklahoma Tuesday

Posted: Updated:
Tulsa -

A cold front moving into the Sooner State will allow for a chance for light snow across north-central Oklahoma Tuesday morning.

The best chances for snow will be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., including some areas in northwestern Oklahoma that could see as much as one inch of accumulation.

The white stuff could cause some minor travel problems for drivers in far northern and western parts of the state.

As the snow tapers off by the afternoon, any snow that accumulates will likely melt off quickly.

As the storm system moves eastward toward the Tulsa area, it will encounter warmer air and any precipitation that does remain will fall as rain.

Behind the front, temperatures will drop into the 20s for lows Wednesday morning and afternoon highs will remain in the 40s through Saturday.
