Thunder Force OT, Win At Portland

Posted: Updated:

Kevin Durant scored 33 points to help Oklahoma City avoid back-to-back losses as the Thunder defeated the Portland Trailblazers 111-107 Monday night on the road.

With the Thunder trailing by six, Durant knocked down a baseline three-pointer with just over two minutes to play, then with time winding down, he drove to the basket and was awarded a controversial goaltending call with six seconds left to force overtime.

In the extra period, Russell Westbrook put the Thunder on top for good on a jumper with 3:49 to play.

The Blazers had a chance to tie late, but Jamal Crawford's jumper with 10 seconds left was blocked by Kendrick Perkins and seconds later, Durant slammed home the dagger.

Joining Durant in double figures were Westbrook, who had 28 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists, James Harden with 19 points and Serge Ibaka, who scored 12 points, grabbed a team-best 13 rebounds and blocked four shots.

LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland (14-11) with 39 points.

The Thunder won despite blowing a 12-point lead late in the third period. They are now 19-and-5 -- the best record in the NBA -- and own a three-game lead over every team in the Western Conference.

Oklahoma City remains on the road for Tuesday night's game at Golden State.
