Waynoka -

One person was killed after a crash involving a car and a semi truck Thursday morning in Major County.

It happened at about 8:40 a.m. about 10 miles south of Waynoka. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a car driven by 51-year-old Dwayn White of Woodward was eastbound on Highway 412 when he went left of center into the westbound lanes.

White's car struck a Kenworth semi truck driven by 40-year-old Donald Mitchell, also of Woodward.

White was pronounced dead at the scene. Mitchell was not injured. Troopers say White was not wearing a seat belt and that airbags were not equipped in his vehicle.

Highway 412 was completely blocked by the crash and was shut down for more than ten hours before being reopened at about 6:51 p.m.
