Owasso -

Five people were hurt after a head-on crash Thursday night near Owasso.

It happened at about 10:30 p.m. on State Highway 266 about two miles east of 145th East Avenue.

Troopers say 33-year-old Jerry Wilson of Claremore was westbound on the highway when his car crossed the center line, hitting an eastbound Chevy Traverse driven by 40-year-old Victoria Daniel, also of Claremore.

Wilson and Daniel were pinned for 30 and 15 minutes respectively before being extricated by Catoosa firefighters using the jaws of life.

Wilson was taken to St. John Medical Center in stable condition with head, arm, leg, trunk and internal injuries. Daniel was treated and released from Saint Francis Hospital.

Three passengers in Daniels' vehicle -- 16-year-old Garrett Daniel, 14-year-old Laurence Daniel and 8-year-old Ciara Daniel -- were also treated and released from St. Francis.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
