TU Loses Tough One To Rice On The Road

Taylor Hooker recorded her first career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, but Tulsa dropped a 55-48 decision to Rice on Sunday afternoon at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston, Texas. TU fell to 10-12 on the season and 6-5 in the league.

Chanice Scott finished one point shy of a double-double with nine points and a team-high 14 rebounds, while Tiffani Couisnard added eight points and six boards.

The Owls were led by Brianna Hypolite with 19 points, followed by Nakachi Maduka with 13 points and a team-best 10 rebounds. Jessica Kuster added 10 points.

Tulsa will return to action on Thursday, February 16^th against UTEP. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
