Huge Event Could Clog Downtown Tulsa Traffic Monday

Tulsa -

If the slick streets don't slow your Monday morning commute enough, an event in downtown Tulsa that's bringing in thousands of people might.

The BOK Center is hosting the 'Get Motivated Business Seminar' from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. -- and more than 10,000 attendees are expected to pour in.

To help with parking and congestion, all meters on the streets in downtown will be free for the entire day.

The usual two-hour time limit won't be enforced and city parking officials will not be ticketing  on-street spaces.

Guests should be aware that meters still may be "turned on" but it is not necessary to insert any payments even if meters show that time is expired.

Speakers at the seminar include former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, General Colin Powell, former First Lady, Laura Bush, quarterback Terry Bradshaw and Mark Buffett.
