The trial for a Tulsa man accused of killing a 3-year-old boy in June 2010 is scheduled to begin Monday morning.
Cody Sartin, 30, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
Authorities said Jace Burgess died from a severe blow to the head and had suffered many other injuries, from bruises to a broken toe.
Court records show Jace's mother had filed a protective order on behalf of the child against Sartin the week before his death.
