Tulsa Falls to UTEP At Home, 64-54

Taleya Mayberry and Taylor Hooker netted double-digit points for Tulsa, but it wasn't enough as the Golden Hurricane dropped a 64-54 decision to UTEP on Thursday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.  TU fell to 10-13 on the season and 5-7 in Conference USA, while the Miners moved to 23-2 overall and 12-0 in the league.

Mayberry had a team-high 18 points, while Hooker added 13 points, five steals and four assists.  Tiffani Couisnard pulled down nine rebounds and had two blocks, while Loren McDaniel recorded six boards and Mariah Turner had five.

UTEP scored 22 points in the paint and 20 points off the bench.  The Miners shot 42-percent from the field and 50-percent (9-18) from three-point range.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, February 19th against East Carolina.  Game time is set for 1:00 pm at the Reynolds Center.
