MALIBU, Calif. -- This was not the first time Oklahoma fell behind early already this season.
But unlike Oklahoma's 4-3 win at Pepperdine to open the season Friday, the Wave just kept scoring on their way to 10-0 victory in the second of three games.
After giving up just 1 run in 2 & 2/3 innings, Oklahoma pulled starting pitcher Jonathan Gray. His reliever Ty Taylor made the final out of the inning, but then gave up 3 in the fourth.
Pepperdine never looked back as starting pitcher Scott Frazier blanked OU through 7 complete innings (0 ER, 5 H, 6 K.)
The third and final game of the series is scheduled to start Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm central time.
