Page Explodes For 40 As Cowboys Beat Longhorns

Posted: Updated:

Keiton Page scored a career-high 40 points to help lead Oklahoma State to a 90-78 victory over Texas Saturday in Stillwater.

The senior guard from Pawnee was a perfect 20-of-20 from the free throw line, 8-of-14 from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range. In addition, as the point guard, he didn't have a single turnover in the game.

Page scored 27 of his points in the first half as OSU (13-14 overall, 6-8 Big 12 Conference) went to the locker room ahead 51-39.

The Longhorns (17-7, 7-7) cut the lead to four in the second half on J'Covan Brown's lay-up with 9:14 to play, but Page responded with a three-pointer that sparked a 10-1 run.

Texas got no closer than six the rest of the way.

Joining Page in double figures for the Pokes was Le'Bryan Nash with 18. Michael Cobbins and Markel Brown also reached double digits, each scoring 12.

Myck Kabongo led Texas with 22.

Up next for the Cowboys is Wednesday's Bedlam battle in Norman against an OU team that has lost six straight games.
