TU Women Get Road Win At Tulane

Four Tulsa women's basketball players scored in double figures to lead the Golden Hurricane to a 72-59 win over Tulane on Thursday night at Fogelman Arena in New Orleans, La.  The Golden Hurricane moved to 12-13 on the season and 7-7 in Conference USA, while the Green Wave fell to 19-8 overall and 8-6 in the league.

Four Tulsa players scored in double figures, including 17 by Taleya Mayberry, 13 by Mariah Turner, and 11 each by Tiffani Couisnard and Chanice Scott.  Turner and Scott also posted a team-high six rebounds, while Taylor Hooker had seven steals and Mayberry had five assists. 

The Golden Hurricane had 19 steals in the contest, the most since earning 20 steals against Rice on January 29, 2009.  Tulsa had a 19-7 lead in steals, while Tulane had a 38-31 advantage in rebounds and a 7-1 lead in blocks.

The Green Wave was led by Olivia Grayson with 17 points, while Janique Kautsky and Brett Benzio each had nine.  Dale, Benzio and Grayson all had seven rebounds, while Benzio had three blocks. 

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, February 26th against Memphis.  Game time is set for 2:00 pm at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse in Memphis, Tenn.
