It was Oklahoma's first home game of 2012 and the first of three games against Hartford Hawks.
After jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning, Hartford responded with a pair of runs in the top half of the third.
The Sooners came right back in the bottom half with the first of two home runs from Lockwood; a 2-run blast to make it 4-2.
Oklahoma never lost the lead. The series continues Saturday at 2:00.
