OU Overcomes 4-Run Deficit To Top Hartford

Posted: Updated:

NORMAN, Okla. -- Hartford's 4 runs through the first two innings was not enough offense to top Oklahoma Saturday. The Sooners rallied to win 10-5 in the second of three games.

Freshman catcher Hunter Lockwood hit his third home run in two days. This time it was an "inside the park" home run.

And who says catchers are slow?

Lockwood's home run was part of a 2-5, 2 RBI performance for the Sooners.

After OU fell behind 4-0, Oklahoma responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 2nd, then another in the 3rd.

It was not until the bottom of the 5th inning when OU put up 3 more runs to take its first lead 6-4; one they never surrendered.

Oklahoma has a chance to sweep the series beginning Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
