The College Football Hall of Fame released the names on their 2012 ballot Tuesday. Out of the 76-players and eight coaches, three candidates are from Oklahoma.
Brian Bosworth is on the list. he was a two-time Butkus Award winner and 1985 national champion. The Sooners were 31-4-1 the three years The Boz played in Norman.
Another Sooner great is up for the hall. Rod Shoate played for Oklahoma between 1972 through 1974.
Shoate was 32-1-1 as a Sooner. He won a national championship in 74.
Former Oklahoma State head coach Jimmy Johnson is on the ballot for the hall as well. He won thirty games in Stillwater. But really found success in Miami. Winning the national championship in 1987.
