Posted: Updated:

Liberty Fire Department Chief Lee Johnson tells Tulsa's Channel 8 that they are working to control a 200-acre grass fire in Liberty.

The fire extends from 221st Street South to 241st Street South near Sheridan Road in Liberty. The neighboring fire departments from Mounds, Liberty Mounds, Keifer, Glenpool, Twin Hills and Beggs are assisting.  Officials are asking for helicopter support from the Forestry Service.

An abandoned manufactured home briefly caught fire, but fire crews were able to extinguish the fire on the home itself.

Liberty firefighter Colton Lance tells KTUL.com that the fire was intentionally started by a resident of Liberty.

Tulsa's Channel 8 has a storm spotter on the scene to bring us video.

Tulsa's Channel 8's Weather Team advise that a Red Flag Warning has been issued for Cherokee, Adair, Creek, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Wagoner, Tulsa and Rogers Counties from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
