ORU Misses NCAA Tourney Field: Will Host NIT Game

Posted: Updated:

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles were hoping to get an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.  But as the 68 teams were announced, ORU was no where to be found.

The consolation for the Golden Eagles was a guaranteed trip to the 2012 NIT.  That's where Oral Roberts was given a four seed, and will host five-seed Nevada on Wednesday night.

That game tips off at 8:15 p.m., and can be seen online at ESPN3.com.

A win, and ORU could potentially face one-seed Arizona in the second round.
