I don't think the Sooner women's basketball team is political or anything, but they would have loved nothing more than to disappoint President Obama. You see he picked St. John's, the Sooners Tuesday night opponent, to reach the women's Final Four.
But the hostile crowd at the Lloyd Noble Center wasn't enough to help the Sooners past the Red Storm. St. John's advances past Oklahoma, 74-70.
Whitney Hand led No. 6 seed Oklahoma with 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Nicole Griffin added 12 and Morgan Hook had 10.
The season comes to an end for the Sooners as they finish the year 21-13.
