Manning's Son Proud; Says Dad Deserving Of TU Coaching Job

Posted: Updated:

Evan Manning, the son of new University of Tulsa head coach Danny Manning, let slip the news 12 hours before his dad was officially announced as the Golden Hurricane's leading man.

On Twitter late Wednesday night, Evan Manning said quote "Never been so proud of someone in my life!!! My dad truly deserves this! But in the meantime, ROCK CHALK AND LET'S GET A CHAMPIONSHIP!!"

He's of course referring to Kansas, which is in the NCAA Final Four. Danny Manning, currently an assistant at KU until the Jayhawks' season comes to an end, is in New Orleans helping Kansas as it prepares to take on Ohio State.

Evan Manning, who graduated from Free State High School in Lawrence last year, is currently attending New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire.
