Burger King Revamping Menu, Restaurants

Posted: Updated:

Burger King is revamping its menu, rolling out ten new items starting Monday.

According to the restaurant, it is the fast-food chain's largest menu expansion since opening its doors in 1954.

Burger King is hoping a revamped menu with healthier options, changes in restaurant decor & packaging and updated worker uniforms help its sales decline in the world of fast-food.

The revamping started last year. Monday, the chain will start serving up new items like smoothies, frappes, chicken strips and snack wraps. Many of the changes follow in the footsteps of other big chains, like McDonald's and Wendy's.

Those two were just named the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 burger chains of last year, respectively, with Wendy's beating out BK for the first time.

Alongside the new menu items, Burger King will roll out its largest ad campaign ever -- so expect to see stars like David Beckham, Jay Leno and Mary J. Blige promoting the burger chain very soon.
