Blackmon & Weeden: First Round Picks?

Posted: Updated:

There is no question that former OSU receiver Justin Blackmon will get picked in the firths round of Thursday NFL Draft.  But will his teammate Brandon Weeden?

Blackmon is projected to be the fourth overall pick to the Cleveland Browns by Mike Mayock of the NFL Network.  That's the highest we've seen him projected.  Many people have Blackmon falling to sixth to join Sam Bradford with the St. Louis Rams.  Justin's lowest projection is 10th to the Buffalo Bills.

Peter King has Weeden being picked up in the first round of his mock draft in last weeks edition of Sports Illustrated.  He thinks Cleveland will take Weeden at 27.

No Sooner player is expected to go in the first round this season.  But several have a shot in the second.

Cornerback Jameel Fleming is picked as high at #44 to Kansas City.  Dewer native Ronnell Lewis could go at #49 to San Diego and Travis Lewis is projected to be picked up by Baltimore at #60.

The NFL Draft begins Thursday at 7:00pm.
