If the new city budget is approved, The City of Tulsa will greatly increase the cutting of municipal property.
Paul Strizek of the Public Works Department says they will increase the mowing schedule to about 10 passes for the upcoming fiscal year.
That works out to 20 or 21 mowings during the growing season.
In the last couple of years that number had climbed to as much as 30 days between cuts, because of budget problems.
Strizek says they have as many as 800 different grassy areas, that are maintained on a regular basis.
He says the funding plan that's been suggested by Mayor Dewey Bartlett is a no complain plan.
There will be enough mowing to keep most citizens happy.
Strizek says he appreciates that people want our city to look good, and they'll be happy to have the funding to make it happen.
