Detroit, MI -
Former University of Oklahoma linebacker Travis Lewis has reportedly signed a contract with the Detroit Lions worth more than two million dollars.
According to Adam Caplan, a Pennsylvania reporter, analyst and radio host, Lewis' -- who was taken in the seventh round by the Lions -- signed a four-year deal worth 2-point-16 million dollars.
Lewis was a four-year starter at OU and was the team's leading tackler as a freshman, sophomore and junior and tied for the team lead as a senior despite missing the season opener.
In four seasons, Lewis racked up 451 tackles, eight sacks and nine interceptions in 54 games.
He's expected to compete for a back-up job at linebacker for the Lions, who went 10-and-6 in the regular season and made their first playoff appearance since 1999.
