Broken Arrow Woman Found Dead in Her Car

A senior citizen from Broken Arrow is dead following a car wreck on Friday.

Authorities had issued a Silver Alert early Saturday morning.

84-year-old Winnie Rowland was last seen at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the 8000 block of South Birch Avenue in Broken Arrow.

She was last seen driving a 1993 pearly white Lincoln Town Car, Oklahoma license 484HBC, and was believed to be driving to South Tulsa Optical in the 7100 block of South Yale Avenue in Tulsa.

A family member notified Tulsa's Channel 8 Saturday afternoon that Rowland was found in her car.  She was pronounced dead at the scene, and she reportedly ran off the road into a ditch.
