Man Dies in Pottawatomie County Motorcycle Wreck

A man is dead following a motorcycle collision Saturday morning.

55-year-old Jim Edward McNeil of Wewoka was riding a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on State Highway 3 when he was hit by a 2004 Ford F-250, according to an OHP report.

The accident happened just after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the intersection of State Highway 3 and Econtuchka Road.

According to the OHP trooper who investigated the crash, 74-year-old Betty Jo Stultz-Daily of Seminole was driving the Ford F-250 eastbound on Highway 3 when she hit the motorcycle while turning left onto Econtuchka Road.

McNeil was reportedly taken by Medi Flight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with massive injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Stultz-Daily was reportedly not injured.

The OHP report indicated that Stultz-Daily was wearing a seatbelt but that airbags did not deploy.

The report also indicated that McNeil was not wearing a helmet.
