Mayfest Attendance Better Than Expected

If you were out at Mayfest this weekend, you rubbed elbows with a lot of people.  In fact, it was a lot more than anyone expected.

Attendance at this year's Mayfest was up over last year.

365,000 people went this year. That's up by 40-thousand, and way over the estimated 250-thousand by organizers.

This was the first rain-free Mayfest in four years.

Aside from a little wind, the weather was perfect.

Peoria.The men reportedly came inside with a gun and demanded money.Officers say a gun went off during a struggle in the attempted robbery.No one was hurt.The men ran away from the store and most likely got into a getaway car.Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677). Callers may remain anonymous.
