Hewlett-Packard To Cut 27,000 Jobs Worldwide

Posted: Updated:

Hewlett-Packard plans to cut 27,000 jobs to its worldwide workforce.

It's taking a hit from the growing popularity of smart phones and tablets.

The 73-year-old company says the cuts amount to about 8% of its workforce.

HP employs more than a thousand people at a data center in Tulsa.

No word on if anyone here will be impacted.

The changes should be complete by October 2014.
