A traffic stop related to a stolen trailer on Monday resulted in numerous felony charges against a Broken Arrow man on Thursday.
33-year-old Jason Jay Roach was pulled over by Broken Arrow Police at 6:30 p.m. Monday near the 2300 block of West Highway 51 because a trailer Roach was pulling with his 1998 Dodge Ram matched the description of a trailer reported stolen from the Muskogee area.
Muskogee Police arrived on the scene to confirm the trailer was the one stolen.
According to the arrest report, Roach had a suspended license and two outstanding warrants in Broken Arrow.
Roach reportedly admitted to being a felon but claimed not to own a gun, despite an empty holster.
The report indicates that police found a loaded Sig Sauer P238 .380 semiautomatic pistol that had been reported stolen and a black bag containing someone else's personal documents in Roach's truck.
All of the stolen items were returned to their owners.
Roach was charged with three counts of knowingly concealing stolen property after a former conviction of a felony, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony after a former conviction of a felony, possession of a schedule four controlled drug after a former conviction of a felony, and driving under suspension.
The report indicated Roach had eleven previous felony convictions in the State of Oklahoma from 1999 to 2011.
