Kassie

Posted: Updated:

Fifteen months ago, kassie, 11 years old at the time was featured in our waiting child segment with carol Lambert.

Kassie was a guest of the purple glaze on brookside.

I just love all that stuff. I haven't done this in a long time.....I haven't painted in a long time."

Kassie had a great attitude, a positive outlook that was infectious to everyone she was with. Her attitude and love of people she said were a reflection of her christian beliefs.

"being like Christian, I know my life is put into God. I know God is inside my heart and he's with me all the time. I can go and pray wherever I want to."

Kassie's faith led her to believe a family would adopt her, even in those times she didn't know if it was possible.

"I just have to keep my chin up and just pray."

Kassie got an answer to her prayers. A family stepped forward not long after her waiting child segment and began the adoption process. Kassie now has a forever home and a family she knows will always be behind her.

kassie continues to love school, making excellent grades and has also learned to play the alto saxophone. Her teachers say she's a natural.
