If you're staying in town for Memorial Day, there are things you can do this weekend.
There's fun away from the sun. No sunscreen or skimpy suit needed at Sheridan Lanes, but you may need a sense of humor. "Ya gotta be able to laugh at yourself if you're going to bowl," said Manager Cathi Green. The bowling alley is making sure it's easy on your wallet too. It has specials that start Friday night. You can call for details and bring a crowd.
Too safe? Rev up your engine at the Tulsa Raceway Park at 31st and North Garnett. The course is set for daredevil speeds sure to entertain the thousands expected to flock here. "Oh it's the competition, it's the sound, it's the good looking cars, and really the camaraderie of fans and rivals against each other," Owner Todd Martin told Tulsa's Channel 8.

Hundreds will get their hearts racing the Maple Ridge run in midtown Tulsa. It's been winding it's way through one of Tulsa's nicest neighborhoods for 25 years or more. For those too small to run there are options. "We have a little kids tricycle race that's just hilarious. There's usually 50 to 75 kids racing about 100 yards, so that's kind of exciting," explained Fleet Feet's Tim Dreiling.
There's also baseball at the ballpark. It kicks off Friday night with fireworks and lots of other family friendly bun. "A new thing we're introducing for our Memorial Day weekend is our new water inflatables, and that's the playground area where we have the Jupiter jumps, big giant slides. We're adding water slides to that inflatable area this weekend," said Drillers Assistant General Manager Jason George.
