United Express Plane Diverted to Tulsa

A United Express plane operated by Mesa Air made an emergency landing at the Tulsa International Airport Sunday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., United Flight 3752 reportedly sent out an Alert 2 distress signal.

This alert indicated that the plane may have had major electrical or mechanical problems.

Airport spokesperson Alexis Higgins told KTUL.com that the Tulsa Fire Department and EMSA were standing by on the runway as a precaution.

According to Higgins, the CRJ-200 aircraft landed safely at 3:46 p.m. with no injuries.

United Airlines spokesperson Mary Ryan told KTUL.com that all 66 passengers were being reaccommodated to other flights.

The flight had taken off from Oklahoma City and was en route to Chicago O'Hare.
